BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
University of Missouri-St. Louis junior lefthander Kevin Sahrmann pitched a three-hit shutout as UMSL registered a pivotal 6-0 victory over third-place UW-Parkside to earn Pitcher of the Week honors in the GLVC. UMSL entered the game with a two-game lead over UWP, but Sahrmann allowed just four base runners in registering his second shutout of the season. The victory - UMSL's lone conference triumph of the week - gave the Rivermen a 17-7 conference mark and a full three-game lead over UWP going into the last weekend of the season. Sahrmann is from St. Charles, Missouri.
