The 2012 Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held at Frank Petretti Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Feb. 24-25. It marks the third consecutive year the event will be hosted by UW-Parkside. The 2012 edition marks the 13th annual GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championship.
The Frank Petretti Fieldhouse is the newest addition to the Sports and Activity Center.The Fieldhouse features three full size basketball courts, which can easily convert to layouts comprised of four tennis courts, six volleyball courts, six badminton courts, or a combination of each. The court area is surrounded by a high-grade 200-meter indoor track (six lanes) allowing it to capably host indoor track and field meets.
In 2011, the Indianapolis men repeated as GLVC Indoor Track & Field Champions. The Greyhounds (2) are now one of four schools to have registered an indoor title. UIndy joins Lewis (1), Missouri S&T (1) and SIU Edwardsville (4) as previous champions.
On the women's side, Lewis won its third GLVC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship in 2011. The Flyers are one of just three programs to have claimed women's titles, joining Indianapolis (1) and SIU Edwardsville (5).
