The 2012 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament bracket has been released by the conference office. Rockhurst earned the No. 1 seed in the eight-team tournament, followed by No. 2 Quincy, No. 3 Drury, and No. 4 Bellarmine. All four teams will host quarterfinal action on Sunday, Oct. 28, as the opening round of the GLVC Championship Tournament commences.

Each of the four quarterfinal winners will advance in the GLVC Championship Tournament, which will be hosted by the highest-seeded semifinalist on Friday, Nov. 2. Two semifinal contests will be played Friday at times to be determined, while the 2012 GLVC Championship Tournament final will take place Sunday, Nov. 4.
This season marks marks the 34th year of the GLVC Men's Soccer Championship Tournament and the eighth consecutive year that eight schools will participate in the GLVC Championship.
Southern Indiana has won the GLVC Men's Soccer Championship a record 10 times with the Eagles last title coming in 1991. Lewis has earned eight titles, while former GLVC members Northern Kentucky and SIU Edwardsville captured five and four crowns, respectively. Rockhurst (2), Drury (1), Quincy (1), UW-Parkside (1) and former conference member IPFW (1) have also claimed league titles.
Last year, No. 4 seed Quincy earned the program’s first-ever GLVC Championship as it rallied to defeat seventh-seeded Drury 2-1 in double-overtime.
