A former sports information director at league-member Truman State University, Tyler Madsen is in his ninth season with the Great Lakes Valley Conference in 2025-26, serving as the league’s Communications Coordinator for Statistics and Standings.

In that role, Madsen oversees the collection, verification and distribution of daily game results and statistics for conference institutions, media members and GLVCsports.com. He also administers the league’s Point Rating System (PRS) for men’s and women’s basketball, assists with conference championship seeding and tiebreaking procedures, and serves as a resource and advisor to conference staff and member institution sports information personnel.

In addition to his communications and statistical responsibilities, Madsen contributes play-by-play and color commentary coverage for championship events on the GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN). He previously served on the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee and NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee.

Madsen works remotely for the conference from Jefferson City, Missouri.
