Gerry Pollard, who is based in St. Charles, Missouri, assumed the position of  Supervisor of Men's Basketball Officials in 2008.

Pollard had assisted previous supervisor John Adams in securing quality officials in the west-half of the GLVC and brings 28 years of officiating experience to the GLVC. He currently works a full NCAA Division I schedule with contests in the Big 12, Missouri Valley Conference, Horizon League and the Summit League, and has been a long-time men’s basketball official in the GLVC.

In addition, Pollard has served as the Coordinator of Officials in the American Midwest Conference since 2000 and as Supervisor of Officials in Region 16 of the Missouri Junior College system since 2001.

 

He has officiated in the last nine NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournaments and has been awarded four Sweet Sixteen assignments over that period. He was the first official to work four consecutive NAIA National Championship games and was the recipient of the 2007 Larry Lady Award given to the NAIA Official of the Year.

 

Pollard has developed a strong stable of men’s basketball officials and has coordinated one of the most successful officiating training camps at Missouri State University for the past six years.

 

Prior to working as a full-time basketball official, Pollard worked for 23 years as a Law Enforcement Officer. He and his family currently reside in Moscow Mills, Missouri.
