Quincy, S&T Tabbed Season’s Last Baden GLVC Volleyball Players of the Week



INDIANAPOLIS – Quincy University junior setter Makayla Knoblauch and Missouri S&T senior middle hitter Kiernan O’Boyle have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Players of the Week in volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Makayla Knoblauch, Quincy

Major: Human Services  

Team Results: 3-0 W vs. Truman State (11/10) | 3-2 W vs. Lindenwood (11/13)
  • Totaled 76 assists, 12 kills, 33 digs, and 16.5 points in pair of league wins to help secure fifth seed in GLVC Tournament
  • Averaged 9.5 assists per set, 1.5 kills per set, and hit .800 (12-of-15)
  • Added 33 digs for 4.13 per set
  • Recorded two double-doubles with 33 assists and 14 digs against Truman and 43 assists and 19 digs against Lindenwood
  • Had a near triple-double against Lindenwood, adding nine kills
  • Earns third career Offensive Player of the Week Award (11/15/21, 10/18/21, 3/8/21)

  • Helped S&T to pair of wins in season finale weekend to help secure third seed in GLVC Tournament
  • Recorded career-high 13 blocks against SBU and set program record for most solo blocks (4) in five-set GLVC match
  • Had six blocks against Rockhurst and four against Drury to total 23 on the week for an average of 1.64 per set
  • Added seven digs, three aces, and 21 kills to average 1.5 kills per set with a .357 hitting percentage
  • Earns second career Defensive Player of the Week Award (11/15/21, 3/15/21)
