INDIANAPOLIS – The GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN) will stream all 12 duals of the 2022 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Wrestling Dual Championship Tournament, which takes place Saturday, February 12 at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo., on the campus of Lindenwood University.
The single-day event features a new, eight-team bracket format that was developed for the first time to determine the GLVC Wrestling Champion. Eight league teams will compete, including top-seeded McKendree University, second-seeded University of Indianapolis, No. 3 Maryville University, No. 4 Lindenwood, 5-seed Drury University, 6-seed Ouachita Baptist University, seventh-seeded William Jewell College, and No. 8 Davenport University.
GLVC wrestling fans will be able to watch any match they choose, which includes complete coverage from one mat in each of the three sessions, along with video-only broadcasts of the other three mats. On the main mat, play-by-play duties for GLVCSN will be handled by Lions’ freshman wrestler Jake Harrier with color commentary provided by 2020 Lindenwood wrestling alum Danny Swan.
Action gets underway Saturday at 10 a.m. Central Time (CT), while the second session begins at 12 p.m., and the final session of the day goes off at 2 p.m. with coverage beginning 10 minutes prior to each session start time.
In the first set of matches, McKendree will face Davenport, Indianapolis will take on William Jewell, Maryville and Ouachita Baptist will face off, and Lindenwood will compete against Drury. In the second session, the winner of MCK-DAV will face the winner of LWU-DU, while the winner of MU-OBU and UINDY-WJC will compete.
