INDIANAPOLIS – Quincy University sophomore Herman Chongwain and Missouri S&T senior Jake Anderson have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.
OUTDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Major: Exercise Science
Team Result: 2nd/9 Teams (66 Points) at Culver Stockton Wildcat Open (4/23)
- Set school record in 100-meter dash with time of 10.35 (+1.3 wind) to place second
- Ranks tied for second in GLVC and 11th in NCAA D-II
- Ran second in helping team win 4x100 meter relay in time of 43.67
- Finished fifth in 200-meter dash in time of 22.24 (+3.3 wind)
- Earns first career Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Award

OUTDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jake Anderson, Missouri S&T

Major: Aerospace Engineering
Team Result: 1st/13 Teams (214 Points) at Lindenwood’s Dick Cochran Classic (4/23)
- Won pole vault with NCAA provisional mark of 5.07m
- Ranks first in GLVC and 14th in NCAA D-II
- Set personal best in long jump with 6.74m (22-01.50; +3.4 wind) to place fourth
- Earns first career Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award
