Jewell, UIndy Earn GLVC Golf Weekly Awards

 

INDIANAPOLIS – William Jewell College sophomore Bryson Oots and University of Indianapolis senior Matilda Cederholm have respectively been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Week in men's and women’s golf, it was announced by the league office Thursday. 

MEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bryson Oots, William Jewell

Team Results: t-4th/18 Teams (288-292-298–878) at Tulsa Cup (10/23-24)
  • Took medalist honors in 90-golfer field, winning by three strokes
  • Carded scores of 66-69-73 for total score of 208 (-10)
    • Posted program-best score in opening round (66)
    • Broke 54-hole team record by 10 strokes (208)
  • Led the field in par-4 scoring (-5) and birdies (16)
  • Helped break 54-hole program record by 21 strokes (878)
  • Earns second career Player of the Week Award (10/26/23, 9/28/23)
  • Last Cardinals’ Player of the Week: Bryson Oots (9/28/23)
 
WOMEN’S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

  • Tied for third in 45-golfer field, earning all-tournament honors and third-straight top 10 finish
  • Carded scores of 75-75-71 for total score of 221 (+5)
  • Finished tied for first in par-3 scoring (-1) and second in par-4 scoring (+2)
  • Helped the Greyhounds to 16-stroke team win amongst field that included six teams ranked in latest WGCA poll
  • Earns first career Player of the Week Award
