S&T, UIndy Collect GLVC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors



INDIANAPOLIS – Missouri S&T freshman Elizabeth Saitz and University of Indianapolis senior Zoe Pentecost have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Athletes of the Week in women’s indoor track and field, it was announced by the league office Wednesday.

Team Results: 5th/9 Teams at RedHawks Invitational (1/13)
  • Placed fifth in 55-meter dash (7.38) and sixth in long jump with distance of 5.29 meters (17’-4.25”)
    • Ranked fourth in both events in GLVC
  • Earns first career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week Award
  • Last Miners’ Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Aubrey Moore (2/22/11)

  • Won weight throw by over two meters with toss of 19.85 meters (65’-1.5”)
    • Ranks first in both GLVC and D-II
  • Finished runner-up in shot put with throw of 12.61 meters (41’-4.5”)
    • Ranks fourth in GLVC
  • Earns sixth career Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Award (1/16/24, 12/14/22, 12/7/22, 1/26/22, 12/15/21, 2/25/21)
