UMSL Claims First GLVC Women’s Soccer Championship

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Fifth-seeded University of Missouri-St. Louis hoisted its first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women's Soccer Championship trophy on Saturday, defeating third-seeded McKendree University, 1-0, at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex in St. Louis, Mo.

UMSL secured its first Conference title in its sixth time appearing in the championship game. The Tritons are the lowest seed to win since 2019 when Southern Indiana claimed the title.

With the win, UMSL (14-3-3) earned the league's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament, making its first appearance since 2016. The Tritons will find out their opponent on Monday night's NCAA Selection Show at 7:00 PM ET.
