INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee announced the field of 56 teams for the 2025 Division II Women's Soccer Championship, and four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) made the cut, making up half of the regional.
As the 6-seed, GLVC Champion, and automatic qualifier Drury will be making its fourth appearance overall, and second in a row. The Panthers will take on the No. 3 seed Ashland on Friday, Nov. 21 at 1:00 PM ET at McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill. The Panthers have faced the Eagles in the first round in three of their four postseason appearances; with the only time the two teams have not met was in 2007.
McKendree will be one of the two host sites and earned an at-large berth as the 2-seed in the regional and will be making their ninth appearance in the NCAA tournament. The Bearcats will face fellow GLVC rival Missouri-St. Louis who is making their fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Tritons earned the seventh seed in the regional and the two will face off Friday, Nov. 21 at 4:00 PM ET.
The two winning teams from those games will play one another on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2:00 PM ET in the second round.
Maryville was awarded the four-seed and will face t Northwood on Thursday, Nov. 20 at Noon ET. The match will be played on the campus of Grand Valley State in Grand Rapids, Mich. Grand Valley was awarded the top seed.
The finalists out of each sub-region will compete for the regional title in the third round on Nov. 30, while that winner will advance to the quarterfinals on Dec. 6, with the semifinals being contested on Dec. 11 and the championship match taking place Dec. 13 at Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
