WILLIAMSVILLE, Ill. – Four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) volleyball programs earned wins in the quarterfinals of the 2025 GLVC Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament on Friday at the Williamsville High School Fieldhouse in Williamsville, Ill.
No. 1 Missouri-St. Louis, No. 2 Rockhurst, No. 3 Quincy, and No. 4 Indianapolis were victorious in their respective quarterfinal matches and advanced to the semifinals. It is the first time since 2022 that the top-four seeds have advanced to the semifinals.
Top-seeded UMSL will play fourth-seeded UIndy in the first game at 2:30 PM Central Time, while second-seeded Rockhurst will face third-seeded Quincy at 5:30 PM. QUARTERFINAL RESULTS
#1 Missouri-St. Louis 3, #8 Lewis 2 (25-21, 20-25, 25-14, 21-25, 15-10)

- UMSL led for nearly the entire first set, thanks in part to going on a 9-0 run after Lewis tied the stanza at 12.
- The second set was tight at 13-11 for the Flyers until Lewis posted six-straight points to pull away and tie the match at one.
- Both teams took one set to force the tiebreaking fifth set, which UMSL clinched 15-10 after four consecutive points.
- Five Tritons hit the double-digit mark for kills, led by Alayna Santel with 25.
- UMSL setter Caitlin Bishop – the GLVC Player of the Year – had 57 assists, guiding the Triton attack to a .278 hitting percentage and 74 kills.
- Lewis recorded 57 kills with a .232 hitting percentage, paced by Sarah Newberry (11, .370)
- UMSL will make its seventh overall and sixth-straight appearance in the GLVC semifinals.
#4 Indianapolis 3, #5 Maryville 1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-20)

- MU came out of the gate strong, hitting .326 to win the first set 25-23.
- UIndy responded by ending the second set on a 9-2 run to even up the match
- UIndy went on another late run in third set, winning eight of the last nine points to clinch a 2-1 set advantage
- UIndy finished off the Saints in the fourth set winning 25-20, hitting 0.429
- UIndy's Paige Parlanti played well on both sides of the ball, notching a double-double with 21 kills and 24 digs.
- UIndy setter and GLVC Freshman of the Year Carly Fonda also recorded a double-double with 54 assists and 10 digs.
- MU's offense was led by Emma Hoing and Ella Brinkmann, combining for 28 of the Saints' 57 kills.
- UIndy will make its 17th appearance in the GLVC semifinals.
#2 Rockhurst 3, #7 Drury 2 (25-23, 25-21, 21-25, 17-25, 15-11)

- RU took a 2-0 set lead by winning the first two sets with a 12-5 run, and a 9-4 run.
- DU responded in the next two sets, taking a 17-9 lead in the third set and a 19-14 lead in the fourth and not looking back.
- RU took set five 15-11, finishing off the Panthers with a 6-1 run.
- RU's Sarah Pyle tallied a double-double with 18 kills and 17 digs to lead the Hawks.
- DU's Ella Radamaker led the Panthers in kills with 18, with Maille Chretien adding 16 kills and 13 digs.
- This will be RU's 14th overall appearance in the GLVC semifinals, according to available league records.
#3 Quincy 3, #6 Truman State 0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-22)

- QU took control right off the bat, winning the first set 25-17.
- QU battled in the second set, using a 5-1 run to close out a 25-22 win.
- QU swept TSU in the third set, winning 25-22, winning the final four points.
- QU's Suzanna Beretti led the Hawks with 15 kills, with Janelle Pye-Blacknard and Selin Turgut adding 13 and 12 kills respectively.
- TSU's Tori Creason Janssen orchestrated the offense with 25 assists and Addy Janssen helped the defense with 14 digs.
- This is QU's ninth appearance in the GLVC semifinals.
