INDIANAPOLIS – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released its football All-Super Region 3 teams, recognizing seven Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) standouts for their efforts on the field this season, as nominated and selected by the region's sports information directors.
Quincy defensive lineman Jaylin Vaughn – the GLVC Defensive Player of the Year – landed on the First Team, along with Upper Iowa wide receiver Mante Morrow and Indianapolis offensive lineman Ryan Buttz.
Four student-athletes from the league appeared on the Second Team, led by the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year and Harlon Hill finalist – UIndy quarterback Gavin Sukup. Two fellow Greyhounds – offensive lineman Grant Ray and cornerback TJ Easley-Jones – joined Sukup, while Southwest Baptist defensive lineman Caleb Saner rounded out the conference's contingent.
The D2CCA encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities
