Lewis, Maryville Chosen as 2025 GLVC Men’s Lacrosse Favorite



INDIANAPOLIS – Both Lewis University and Maryville University were voted in the preseason coaches’ poll as the choices to win the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) men’s lacrosse championship, the league office announced on Wednesday.

The preseason poll is selected by the league’s head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
 
T-No. 1 Lewis
  • Received three first-place vote and 23 total points.
  • Ranked No. 13 in United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Preseason Poll.
  • Earned No. 1 seed and won the GLVC Championship last year.
  • Qualified for the NCAA Tournament as the No. 4 seed and lost in the quarterfinals to No. 1 Tampa.
  • Coached by reigning GLVC Coach of the Year Joe Perruzzi, who enters his sixth year after a 14-5 overall and 5-1 GLVC record in 2024.
  • Return GLVC Specialist of the Year, Domenic Tarello, First Team All-GLVC and All-American Honorable Mention Tyler Davis, Second Team member Mark Crowley, and Honorable Mentions Nolan Dalep and Logan Suchy.

T-No. 1 Maryville
  • Received three first-place votes and 23 total points.
  • Ranked No. 12 in USILA Preseason Poll.
  • Earned No. 2 seed in 2024 GLVC Championship, losing to No. 1 seed Lewis in the Championship.
  • Qualified for the NCAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed, losing in the First Round to No. 4 Lewis.
  • Coached by reign Scott Stark, who enters his fifth season after a 13-5 overall and 5-1 GLVC record in 2024.
  • Return GLVC Co-Freshman of the Year Ben Mickett, and All-American Honorable Mention Dylan Radke, also First Team All-GLVC selection Justin Simonson, Second Team selection Dagen Carlson, John Chorlton,, and Shea Raeburn, and Honorable Mention Carter Bies.

No. 3 Rockhurst
  • Received 16 total points.
  • Ranked No. 19 in USILA Preseason Poll.
  • Earned the No. 3 seed last season in the GLVC Tournament.
  • Coached by Kevin Kelley, who enters his 12th season after a 10-4 overall and 4-2 GLVC record in 2024.
  • Return GLVC Co-Freshman of the Year Jonah McConnell, also Second Team All-GLVC honoree Matthew Kallberg, and Honorable Mentions Carson Bradshaw, Avery Moody, Brock Ollia, and Linus Toward.
 
 No. 4 Indianapolis
  • Received 14 total points.
  • Ranked No. 10 in USILA Preseason Poll.
  • Earned the No. 4 seed in the GLVC Tournament last season.
  • Secured fifth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance as the No. 6 seed, losing to No.3 seed Limestone in the First Round.
  • Coached by Greg Stocks, who enters his fourth season after a 11-6 overall and 4-2 GLVC record in 2024.
  • Return Second Team All-GLVC selection Triston Schaffer, as well as Honorable Mentions Seamus Faulkner and Nathan Lam.

Rounding out the poll respectively in fifth was William Jewell College (9) and in sixth, Quincy University (5).
