INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville University freshman Elizabeth Teuber was selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Player of the Year, the league office announced Thursday. Teuber was also named the unanimous Conference’s Freshman of the Year, while Maryville mentor Lauren Russo was voted Coach of the Year by her peers.
In all, 18 student-athletes earned All-GLVC recognition, while eight were named GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees, and Oklahoma Christian University was honored with the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award.
The All-Conference awards are nominated and voted on by league coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own players.
