LAS VEGAS – With ITC Nationals in Las Vegas just days away, Maryville University bowling has continued to rack in the awards, with Elizabeth Teuber, already GLVC Player and Freshman of the Year, earning the same honors but at the national level. Teuber's honors are joined by Anna Maxwell, who garnered a spot on the All-American Third team. Head coach Lauren Russo made it a clean sweep of the major coaching awards, earning DII Coach of the Year.
Teuber's honor makes it back-to-back DII Player of the Year awardees for the Saints, with Maxwell earning the honor before. Her Rookie of the Year also is the second in program history, with Maxwell—again—garnering that award.
Leading the Saints with a 208.4 Traditional average through 958 frames, Teuber was an immediate force out of the anchor spot, recording a 54.3 strike percentage, 87.6 fill percentage, 95.3 single-pin spare percentage, and 68.7 multi-pin spare percentage.
The trio led the Saints to the finale of the NCAA Regional after capturing back-to-back GLVC titles. Both were named to the All-GLVC First Team.
