INDIANAPOLIS – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2024-25 Scholar All-America winners with three Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) teams making the top-25 list and 41 wrestlers being honored.
University of Indianapolis places at sixth in the NWCA Scholar All-America Team listing for NCAA Division II, posting a GPA of 3.448. Maryville University followed in ninth with a 3.416 GPA, while Drury University rounded out the trio in 13th with a 3.375.
Individually, UIndy topped the Conference and placed second in D-II with 14 wrestlers recognized, while Maryville and McKendree University had eight honored. Drury and Upper Iowa University both had seven wrestlers named with Quincy earning four honorees.
In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and a 3.0 for those who were All-Americans at the 2025 Nationals. Wrestlers must have competed in four dates of competition.
