UIndy Women's Lacrosse Fall Short at Final Four

SALEM, Va. - The UIndy women's lacrosse team ended its season on Thursday with a 13-8 defeat to top-ranked Tampa in the national semifinals.

This year's DII Championship is being held at Kerr Stadium on the campus of Roanoke College.

It was the second-ever trip to the final four for the Greyhounds, who won the national title back in 2022.

INS & OUTS
The Hounds jumped out to a 3-1 lead with goals from Olivia Bladon, Malaena Michielin, and Alexa Versaci in the first seven-and-a-half minutes.

Tampa lived up to its top billing, however, scoring nine straight goals in 14 minutes before halftime. Kendall Conrad found the back of the cage with just two seconds left in the frame to build momentum at the break.

UIndy cut the deficit back to three in the first five minutes of the third quarter, with Bladon completing the hat trick. The teams settled in thereafter, as Emily Ghazal was credited with the final Greyhound goal midway in the fourth.
