For the second straight season, the Maryville University men's lacrosse team has earned a bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II Tournament. Maryville was slotted for the No. 6 seed in the South Region and will play No. 3 seed and host Anderson University in a first-round game Wednesday, May 7. Game time is 3 p.m. CT / 4 p.m. ET at Spero Fin Field Stadium in Anderson, S.C.
The Saints earned the Great Lakes Valley Conference's automatic bid by winning their first GLVC title in a 9-8 overtime victory over Lewis Saturday. Anderson posted a 13-4 record and was 9-1 in the South Atlantic Conference. The Trojans, who were ranked seventh in last week's USILA poll, fell to Wingate in the SAC title game. The winner of the Maryville-Anderson game advances to face the winner of the No. 2 Limestone-No. 7 North Greenville game Sunday, May 11, in a quarterfinal round game at the site of the highest seed.
The other two games in the South Region will be Tampa as the No. 1 seed hosting No. 8 Colorado Mesa and No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne welcoming in No. 5 seed Wingate.
The National Semifinals are Sunday, May 19, with the NCAA Division II National Championship game scheduled for Sunday, May 25, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
