CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced the 2024-25 recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards. The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) earned 1,360 honorees with McKendree and Rockhurst pacing the member schools.
The 1,360 honorees earned by the GLVC member schools is the fifth most in Division II with the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) leading Division II with 1,755 total. McKendree lead the GLVC with 219 honorees with Rockhurst seven behind with 212. Maryville earned 190, with Indianapolis earning 182. Illinois Springfield has 134, Truman State had 131, William Jewell earned 127, with UMSL having 103 and Lewis earning 62 honorees.
The GLVC tripled their institution participation from 2023-24 and have increased their nominations by 250%.
The Academic Achievement Awards, in its 18th year, is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level In NCAA championship sponsored sports.
For the first time since inception, there were more than 22,000 student-athletes recognized (22,740) from a record 202 institutions for the 2024-25 Academic Achievement Awards. This year’s totals are the highest in the program’s history.
