Dunlap Tabbed as Drury STUNT Head Coach

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury University Vice President and Director of Athletics, Nyla Milleson, has announced Tyler Dunlap as the new head coach of the Panthers' STUNT program, the second in the team's NCAA tenure.

"Tyler brings a proven track record of competitive success and a strong vision for student-athlete development," said Milleson. "We are excited to see him lead our STUNT program into its next chapter."

Dunlap succeeds Kayla Duffey-Mackey as STUNT head coach while continuing in his current role as head coach of Drury's cheer program.

Entering his fourth season at the helm of the cheer program in 2025–26, Dunlap has guided Drury to a second-place finish at the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) Open Small Co-Ed Division in 2023, followed by fourth- and fifth-place finishes in following years. At the 2025 UCA national championships, the Panthers placed fifth in the Division I Game Day performance.

"I'm incredibly honored to step into the head coach role for Drury's STUNT program," said Dunlap. "Coaching isn't just about competition—it's about transformation, and I'm fired up to help these athletes grow, push boundaries, and build something extraordinary together."

Prior to becoming head cheer coach, Dunlap served one year as Drury's assistant cheer coach, helping the Panthers earn a national runner-up finish in the Open Small Co-Ed Division. He has also served as a UCA instructor, leading instructional seminars for coaches and athletes nationwide.

A native of Paris, Missouri, Dunlap began his cheer career at Missouri State before transferring to Kentucky and later completing his academic and athletic career at Morehead State. While at Morehead State, he was part of multiple UCA Co-Ed National Championship teams.

Dunlap inherits a STUNT program that finished its inaugural NCAA Division II season with an 8–5 record and a No. 13 national ranking. The Panthers will compete in their first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) season in the winter of the 2025-26 academic year.
