INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville was unanimously voted in the preseason coaches’ poll as the choices to win the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) men’s lacrosse championship, the league office announced on Thursday.
The preseason poll is selected by the league’s head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
No. 1 Maryville
- Received all five first-place votes and 25 total points.
- Ranked No. 6 in USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II Preseason Poll.
- Earned share of Regular Season title and the team’s first-ever GLVC Championship as No. 1 seed in 2025.
- Advanced to semifinals of NCAA Championship as No. 6 seed, beating No. 3 Anderson and No. 2 Limestone.
- Coached by reigning GLVC Coach of the Year Scott Stark, who enters his sixth season after going 14-5 overall and 4-1 GLVC record last season.
- Return pair of Second Team United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America selection, John Chorlton and Justin Simonson, along with fellow First Team All-GLVC honoree Ben Mickett.
- Joined by Tyler Jerstad and Shea Raeburn, who landed on the All-GLVC Second Team, along with Honorable Mention selections Colin Tobias, Trent Zimay, Andrew Skifstad, Carter Bies, and Eli Backer.
T-No. 2 Lewis
- Received one first-place vote and 19 total points.
- Ranked No. 8 in USA Lacrosse Magazine DII Preseason Poll.
- Earned No. 3 seed and advanced to GLVC Championship title game last year.
- Mentored by Joe Perruzzi, who enters his seventh year after recording a 12-5 overall and 3-2 GLVC mark in 2023.
- Return Honorable Mention USILA recipient and First Team All-GLVC selection Tyler Davis.
- Joined by Second Team All-GLVC honorees Malikye Good and Joe Janda, as well as Honorable Mention selections Paul Ruskowski, Logan Suchy, Michael Trobvich, and Caden Donahue.
T-No. 2 Rockhurst
- Received 19 total points.
- Ranked No. 19 in USA Lacrosse Magazine DII Preseason Poll.
- Earned share of Regular Season crown and No. 2 seed in GLVC Championship last season.
- Coached by Kevin Kelley, who enters his 13th season after an 8-6 overall and 4-1 GLVC record in 2023.
- Return trio of GLVC major awards winners: Attacker of the Year Jonah McConnell, Goalkeeper of the Year Brock Olilia, and Freshman of the Year Nolan Hartl.
- Joined by Second Team All-GLVC honorees Lars Yarkosky and Avery Moody, along with Honorable Mention selections Tyler Smith, Adam Hausby, Connor Falkner, and Carson Bradshaw.
No. 4 Indianapolis
- Received 13 total points.
- Ranked No. 20 in USA Lacrosse Magazine DII Preseason Poll.
- Earned No. 4 seed in GLVC Championship in 2025.
- Coached by Greg Stocks, who enters his 10th season after a 12-4 overall and 5-0 GLVC record in 2023.
- Return Honorable Mention USILA and First Team All-GLVC selections Alec Score, Tyler Bernarduci and AJ Preachuk.
- Joined by Second Team All-GLVC honorees Matt Pereira and Mitchell Carik, as well as Honorable Mention selections Keegan Laughlin and Jason Davide.
Rounding out the poll respectively in fifth through sixth was Quincy (9 points) and William Jewell (5).
