INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released Saturday night the bracket for the 2026 GLVC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament. Regular Season Champion Rockhurst earned the No. 1 overall seed, while William Jewell secured the second seed, Illinois Springfield was tabbed as the 3-seed, and Indianapolis claimed the 4-seed. The tournament is being held in St. Louis, Mo., at Mark Twain Building for the first time since 2020-21 from Thursday, Mar. 5 through Sunday, Mar. 8.
Missouri S&T and McKendree earned seeds No. 5 and 6, respectively, while Upper Iowa and Drury filled the final two spots at No. 7 and 8. The eight-team tournament is seeded 1-8 based on the GLVC Point Rating System (PRS) rankings.
Quarterfinal 1: #1 Rockhurst vs. #8 Drury | Thursday, Mar. 5, 5:30 PM CT
- Rockhurst went 23-5 overall and 17-3 in GLVC action with a 4.43 PRS during the regular season to win its first-ever GLVC Regular Season crown.
- Drury went 15-13 overall and 10-10 in GLVC action with a 3.20 PRS during the regular season.
- The Hawks and Panthers split this season with Drury winning at home, 104-98, on Jan. 2 and Rockhurst claiming victory at home, 88-75, on Feb. 14.
- Rockhurst is making its 12th appearance in the GLVC postseason and second in a row.
- Drury is making its 17th appearance in the GLVC postseason and have won three league titles, with the last coming in 2015.
Quarterfinal 2: #2 William Jewell vs. #7 Upper Iowa | Thursday, Mar. 5, 7:45 PM CT
- William Jewell went 19-9 overall and 15-5 in GLVC action with a 4.00 PRS during the regular season.
- Upper Iowa went 17-10 overall and 12-8 in GLVC action with a 3.28 PRS during the regular season.
- The Cardinals beat the Peacocks in their lone matchup this season, as Jewell won 83-74 in Liberty on Jan. 22.
- Jewell is making its eighth appearance in the GLVC postseason and has won one league title (2024).
- UIU is making its third-straight appearance in the GLVC postseason since joining the league in 2023-24.
Quarterfinal 3: #4 Indianapolis vs. #5 Missouri S&T | Friday, Mar. 6, 5:30 PM CT
- Indianapolis went 16-12 overall and 14-6 in GLVC action with a 3.73 PRS during the regular season.
- Missouri S&T went 19-8 overall and 13-7 in GLVC action with a 3.73 PRS during the regular season.
- UIndy won the tiebreaker over S&T due to its home win over No. 1 Rockhurst on Jan. 17, while S&T lost at home to the Hawks on Feb. 19.
- The Greyhounds won the lone meeting with the Miners at home on Jan. 29, 72-61.
- UIndy is making its league-best 43rd appearance in the GLVC postseason, with its one conference title coming in 1997.
- S&T is making its seventh appearance in the GLVC postseason and second in a row.
Quarterfinal 4: #3 Illinois Springfield vs. #6 McKendree | Friday, Mar. 6, 7:45 PM CT
- Illinois Springfield went 17-11 overall and 13-7 in GLVC action with a 3.75 PRS during the regular season.
- McKendree went 21-7 overall and 14-6 in GLVC action with a 3.43 PRS during the regular season.
- McKendree’s games against Rockhurst (12/1), UIS (12/4), and Maryville (12/11) were nullified as a result of playing an ineligible student-athlete for the first 11 games of the 2025-26 season. Their team total in the PRS was reduced by 0.30 points (0.10 per nullified contest).
- The Prairie Stars and Bearcats split this season with UIS winning at home, 63-58, on Dec. 4 and McKendree claiming victory at home, 77-69, on Feb. 7.
- UIS is making its ninth appearance in the GLVC postseason.
- McKendree is making its seventh overall and sixth-straight appearance in the GLVC postseason and has claimed one league title (2023).
The four quarterfinal winners will compete in the semifinals on Saturday, March 7, at 5:30 and 7:45 PM CT, while the semifinal winners will battle for the 2026 trophy on Sunday, Mar. 8 at 3:30 PM.
