UIndy’s Meyer and Le Cadre Earn National Titles as GLVC Claims 15 All-American Honorees

EMPORIA, Kan. – Indianapolis’ Alex Meyer and Josue Le Cadre took home individual national titles at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships over the weekend to lead the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) delegation at the 2026 event on the campus of Emporia State.

Indianapolis’ Alex Meyer won the men’s long jump, and his Greyhound teammate Josue Le Cadre won the men’s 800m.
 
Overall, the GLVC was awarded with 15 individual All-Americans.

On day one Meyer claimed his long jump title, Lewis’ Denise Hernandez placed third in the women’s long jump, while Levi Graham of Lewis placed fifth in the men’s hammer throw.
 
Day two led to more success with Indianapolis’ Vivian Osagie finishing third in the women’s discus, Indianapolis’ Felix Rivet third in the men’s 3000m steeplechase, Lewis’ Mary Edwards finishing fourth in the women’s 3000m steeplechase, and Lewis’ Abraham Christian in a tie for eighth in the men’s high jump.
 
On the final day, the awards came thick and fast with Le Cadre claiming his men’s 800m crown and his teammate Yanis Le Mouillour finishing as runner-up, Osagie placing fourth in the women’s shot put, Maryville’s Harry Mitchell placing fifth in the men’s 400m, Southwest Baptist’s Savannah Manthey placing fifth in the women’s javelin, Southwest Baptist’s Stephanique Dean placing fifth in the women’s 200m, Lincoln’s Malik Drummond placing seventh in the men’s triple jump, and Indianapolis’ Francesa Maurino placing eighth in the women’s high jump.


Indianapolis men finished ninth on 34 points with Indianapolis placing 41st with 4.33 points. Maryville tied for 42nd with four points, while Lincoln tied for 49th with two.
 
On the women’s side, Indianapolis and Lewis finished in the top 30 with the Greyhounds in 26th with 11.2 points and the Flyers a tie for 27th with 11 points. Southwest Baptist placed 34th with eight points to round out the scorers for the GLVC.
