UIndy Crowned GLVC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Champions for Eighth Time

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Indianapolis captured its eighth men’s title at the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Plaster Stadium on the campus of Southwest Baptist.
 
The Greyhounds totaled 147 points to best runner-up Lewis (118) by 29 points.
 
Lincoln (114) finished third, while Southwest Baptist (108.66) and Missouri S&T (76.33) placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Sixth place went to Truman State (50), while the respective seventh- and eighth-place teams were Maryville (45) and Drury (39.5). William Jewell (38) was ninth and Quincy (29.5) finished in 10th. Rounding out the 11th through 13th place was McKendree (27), Rockhurst (15), and Illinois Springfield (11).

The top-three finishers in all finals events were named All-Conference honorees.
 
At the conclusion of the championship, Rivet earned Track Athlete of the Year, Hart was chosen as Field Athlete of the Year, and Mitchell earned the Freshman of the Year award. The league coaches also recognized UIndy mentor Brad Robinson as Coach of the Year.
 
Additionally, SBU was honored as the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award winner, while 13 student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior were also named as their sport’s honoree for the award. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school’s two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced later this month.
