GLVC Softball Championship Returns to
East Peoria's EastSide Centre
The 2018 Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Championship will be held on May 3-5, 2018 at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Illinois. It will mark the 15th straight year the GLVC Softball Championship will be held at the EastSide Centre. The 2018 event will also mark the 35th annual GLVC Softball Championship.
Eight teams will vie for the 2018 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the Conference at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament.
Missouri-St. Louis earned its fourth GLVC Championship in five years last season as the third-seeded Tritons blanked No. 4 seed Truman State, 5-0.
Lewis' 10 titles paces the conference, followed by Missouri-St. Louis (4), Southern Indiana (3), UW-Parkside (3), and Indianapolis (2). Former GLVC members SIU Edwardsville (5), Kentucky Wesleyan (4), Northern Kentucky (2), and Ashland (1) have also claimed GLVC Softball Championships.
