WACO, Texas - Three Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) football programs were recognized in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) national poll, released Tuesday.
The University of Indianapolis (1-0) rose two spots to No. 12 following its 34-10 victory at traditional NAIA-powerhouse St. Xavier last Saturday. Toriano Clinton rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns, while Kiave' Guerrier led the team with 13 tackles. The poll position marks the 40th consecutive week the Greyhounds have been recognized.
Truman State University (1-0) received votes for the second straight week, earning 15 points after an in-region win at Davenport. Lindenwood University (0-1), which suffered a season-opening loss to now-No. 22 Angelo State, collected two points in the receiving votes section.
