Four GLVC Football Standouts Named to D2Football.com Elite 100 Teams

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Indianapolis duo of offensive lineman Ryne Buttz and quarter back Gavin Sukup, Upper Iowa wide receiver Mante Morrow, and Southwest Baptist defensive lineman Caleb Saner represented the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) on D2Football.com's Elite 100, it was announced last Tuesday.

Buttz was named to the First Team with Sukup garnering Second Team honors. Morrow and Saner were named Squad players.

The Indianapolis senior duo spearheaded one of the most prolific offenses in the nation in 2025. They led the Greyhounds to a program-record-tying 11 wins and a second-round playoff appearance. UIndy topped Division II in team passing efficiency (197.1); ranked second in total offense (500.3 ypg), scoring offense (46.0 ppg) and first down offense (335); and also ranked seventh in third-down conversion percentage (.515).

Buttz was named to the AFCA All-America First Team, and D2CCA All-America Second Team.

Sukup was named as the Harlon Hill runner-up, the first GLVC Harlon Hill Finalist, All-America First Team and is the Three-Time GLVC Offensive Player of the Year

Morrow adds to his impressive resume of awards this season as he was also a D2CCA Super Region Three First Team selection and an All-GLVC First Team selection. He was also a Harlon Hill Nominee and earned a spot on the Don Hansen All-America team as an honorable mention. He became the latest Peacock to earn the honor since defensive end Erik Hansen won it in 2021. Morrow totaled 1,007 receiving yards with 12 touchdowns this season, marking a career-high in both categories. The senior receiver ranked sixth in the country in receiving touchdowns and ninth in receiving yards per game. It was also the third 1,000-yard receiving season in program history.

Saner also earned a 1st-team All-GLVC award after a record-breaking season for the Bearcats. His 20.5 tackles for loss on the season not only led the GLVC but also broke the SBU single season record by half a tackle. At 2.05 tackles for loss per game he was second best in the Nation in that statistical category. Saner added on nine total sacks and 69 tackles throughout the 2025 season.

The D2Football.com Elite 100 Team was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with input from numerous sitting head coaches as well as professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan. The team includes first and second team selections for offense, defense and special teams along with 25 "Squad" players for offense and defense. Squad players are equivalent to "honorable mention" selections in similar national recognition lists. The annual list was compiled with input from coaches, scouts, media and sports information directors from around the country, with Buttz earning first-team recognition and Sukup landing on the second team.
