INDIANAPOLIS – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released its Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court lists Tuesday afternoon with eight Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) schools earning awards.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men’s basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Four teams were recognized in the Association’s Team Academic Excellence Awards in Lewis, Maryville, Rockhurst, and Williams Jewell. Those four programs also had student-athletes named to the NABC Honor Court in addition to the team award with players from Illinois Springfield, Lindenwood, Missouri-St. Louis, and Southwest Baptist joining them.
