Five GLVC Wrestling Teams, 17 Individuals Represented in Latest NWCA Rankings

MANHEIM, Penn. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) features five teams in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Division II Rankings, the organization released Monday.

Indianapolis, Upper Iowa, and McKendree are all nationally ranked, with the Greyhounds highlighting the league’s squads at No. 3 with 65 total points and the Peacocks following in the top 10 at No. 9 with 42 points. The Bearcats landed at No. 13 with 32 points, while Davenport (2 points) and Drury (1) are receiving votes.

17 of the ranked wrestlers come from GLVC programs, led by UIndy's seven representatives. The Conference has at least one wrestler in the rankings in each weight class except 149. There are three ranked at 157 and 165; two at 125, 141, 174, and 197; and one each at 133, 184, and 285. The group is highlighted by UIU's Chase Luensman (165) and Indianapolis' Cale Gray (285), who sit atop their respective divisions.
