INDIANAPOLIS – Six Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division II Women's Swimming & Diving Academic All-America® Teams, it was announced Monday.
Indianapolis led GLVC representation with four individuals making the list. Kaitlyn McCoy (English Education major, 3.99 GPA) earned a First Team selection, while teammates Johanna Buys (Biology/MBA, 3.65/3.89), Mikaela Starr (Psychology, 3.84), and Leticia Vaselli (Communication, 3.71) appeared on the Second Team.
Zara Konstapel (English, 3.94) of Missouri-St. Louis joined the UIndy trio on the Second Team and Drury's Claire Conover (Biology, 3.86) was selected to the Third Team.
The CSC Academic All-America® separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 DII Academic All-America® teams program.
