Five GLVC Men’s Soccer Standouts Named to CSC Academic All-America Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes were named to the 2025 Academic All-America® Division II Men's Soccer Teams, as selected by the College Sports Communicators, on Tuesday.

Maryville senior forward Sebastian Weitlaner, Missouri S&T junior midfielder Joao Vieira, and Rockhurst graduate defender Noah Brende were named to the First Team for the GLVC. Weitlaner, holds a 4.00 GPA in Management & Leadership, Vieira holds a 4.00 GPA in Economics, and Brende held a 3.91 undergraduate and 4.00 graduate GPA in Business Administration. This is the first honor for all three student-athletes.

Indianapolis junior midfielder Joey Longo currently has a 4.00 GPA in Physics landing him on the Second Team. Missouri S&T junior forward Mike Banasik (4.00 in Business & Management Systems) rounds out the GLVC honorees with a Third Team nod.
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Division II Academic All-America® program.
