GLVC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament Bracket Announced

 

INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released Saturday night the bracket for the 2025 GLVC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament. Regular Season Champion Missouri S&T earned the No. 1 overall seed, while University of Missouri-St. Louis secured the second seed, Upper Iowa University was tabbed as the 3-seed, and Lincoln University claimed the 4-seed. The tournament is being held in St. Charles, Mo., at Hyland Arena  from Thursday, Mar. 6 through Sunday, Mar. 9.
 
Lewis University and Truman State University earned seeds 5-6, while Rockhurst University and McKendree University filled spots No. 7 and 8. The eight-team tournament is seeded 1-8 based on the GLVC Point Rating System (PRS) rankings.

Quarterfinal 1: #1 Missouri S&T vs. #8 McKendree | Thursday, Mar. 6, 12 PM CT
  • S&T went 23-4 overall and 17-3 in GLVC action with a 4.33 PRS during the regular season to win the GLVC Regular Season crown.
  • McKendree went 14-13 overall and 11-9 in GLVC action with a 3.18 PRS during the regular season.
  • The Miners beat the Bearcats in their lone matchup of the season, winning 84-69 in Lebanon on Jan. 25.
  • S&T is making its sixth appearance in the GLVC postseason.
  • McKendree is making its sixth appearance in the GLVC postseason and fifth in a row with one Conference title in 2023.

 Quarterfinal 2: #2 Missouri-St. Louis vs. #7 Rockhurst | Thursday, Mar. 6, 2:15 PM CT
  • UMSL went 17-10 overall and 15-5 in GLVC action with a 3.88 PRS during the regular season.
  • Rockhurst went 17-11 overall and 11-9 in GLVC action with a 3.25 PRS during the regular season.
  • The Hawks took down the Tritons in their lone matchup this season, as RU won 88-71 in St. Louis on Jan. 11.
  • UMSL is making its 21st appearance in the GLVC postseason and seventh in a row with one Conference title in 2022.
  • Rockhurst is making its 11th appearance in the GLVC postseason.

 Quarterfinal 3: #4 Lincoln vs. #5 Lewis | Friday, Mar. 7, 12 PM CT
  • Lincoln went 20-8 overall and 12-8 in GLVC action with a 3.58 PRS during the regular season.
  • Lewis went 17-10 overall and 12-8 in GLVC action with a 3.50 PRS during the regular season.
  • The Blue Tigers swept the Flyers this season, tallying a home win on Dec. 5 (75-6) and road victory on Feb. 8 (69-64).
  • Lincoln is making its first appearance in the GLVC postseason in its inaugural season as a member of the league.
  • Lewis is making its 40th overall and second-straight appearance in the GLVC postseason.
 
Quarterfinal 4: #3 Upper Iowa vs. #6 Truman State | Friday, Mar. 7, 2:15 PM CT
  • Upper Iowa went 20-8 overall and 14-6 in GLVC action with a 3.85 PRS during the regular season.
  • Truman went 17-11 overall and 11-9 in GLVC action with a 3.30 PRS during the regular season.
  • The Peacocks won the lone meeting with the Bulldogs on the road on Jan. 16, 73-70.
  • Upper Iowa is making its second-straight appearance in the GLVC postseason
  • Truman is making its 11th overall and second-straight appearance in the GLVC postseason.
 
The four quarterfinal winners will compete in the semifinals on Saturday, March 8, at 12 and 2:15 PM, while the semifinal winners will compete for the 2025 trophy on Sunday, Mar. 9 at 1 PM.
 
For the fourth year in a row, all GLVC Championship Tournament action will be streamed live for $12 per game or $35 for the full tournament on GLVCSN.com, the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps, and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV.
