INDIANAPOLIS – 27 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) men's and women's tennis players have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. It was announced by the organization on May 13.
There were 15 student-athletes honored on the women's side and 12 on the men's side. Rockhurst paced the league with four selections for each gender.
For the women, Quincy earned four spots, Drury landed three on the list, and Indianapolis and William Jewell each had two honorees.
The Jewell men had four student-athletes recognized, while Drury and UIndy secured two spots on the list apiece.
The complete list of honorees can be found at the link above. All eligible nominees earn the honor with a minimum of a 3.50 undergraduate or graduate GPA required, while the maximum number of submissions permitted by a school in the sport is four.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3 and 4.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
