AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-America® teams Wednesday afternoon with four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes making the cut.
Indianapolis senior Zoe Pentecost was the lone female to represent the league, holding a 3.85 GPA in physical therapy to land on the Third Team. This is the third-straight season that Pentecost has earned Academic All-America status, the only Division II female student-athlete to accomplish the feat this year.
On the men's side, three conference individuals claimed spots on the list. Two of the honorees – Owen Fraser (Jr., 4.0, mechanical engineering) and Justin Moeller (Gr., 3.91, accounting)– landed on the First Team. This is Fraser's second consecutive appearance on the list after making the Second Team last season. Indianapolis sophomore Alex Meyer secured third-team laurels with a 3.57 GPA in exercise science to round out league representation.
