INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced on Wednesday the addition of Julia Gobert to the Conference office staff as an intern for the remainder of the 2025-26 academic year.
Gobert is a recent graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, where she earned a degree in Sport Management with a concentration in Sport and Business Studies. Her passion for sports began at a young age growing up in Jasper, Indiana, in the Jasper High School baseball program as a coach’s daughter, where she spent countless hours around practices, games, and behind-the-scenes operations.
Throughout her time at USI, she gained hands-on experience working in athletics administration, facilities operations, and development, supporting Division I collegiate sporting events through ticket sales, game-day operations, and administrative support. She also completed internships with both USI Athletics and the Dubois County Bombers, where she assisted with event logistics, customer service, and overall operations.
In addition to her sports experience, Julia works in retail at Holiday World during summer seasons and volunteers as a cheer coach at Jasper Middle School, further strengthening her communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
With the GLVC, Gobert will help with league championships in multiple ways, including soliciting food sponsors; assisting with championship preparation and execution; organizing in-game promotions; gathering data for research projects; and helping with social media initiatives and GLVCSN productions.
Gobert began her tenure on January 1.
