UMSL Collects Fourth GLVC Men’s Golf Crown

PERU, Ind. – Second-seeded Missouri-St. Louis earned its fourth Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Golf Championship over top-seeded Missouri S&T, 4-1, on Friday at Rock Hollow Golf Club.
 
With the victory, Missouri-St. Louis collects its fourth league title in the last 11 years. Additionally, UMSL earned the conference's automatic qualifying berth into the NCAA Midwest Regional.

The Tritons jumped out of the gate early, as junior Ludvig Granlund shot a 71 to beat GLVC Freshman of the Year Li Kasule (76) while Trigg Lindahl (69) defeated Cole Komyati (72) to help UMSL jump out to a 2-0 lead.

Daniel Solavera (72) defeated Chayton Jordan (73)  to give the Tritons the crucial third point and clinch their fourth GLVC championship.
 
Isaac To (71) prevented the sweep by taking down Logan Mayo (72), while Leo Baudry (69) beat GLVC Player of the Year Rizq Adam Rohizam (73).
 
The Tritons started the day with a semifinals victory over third-seeded Drury, 3-2, to advance to the finals, while S&T secured a 4-1 win over No. 4 Indianapolis to solidify the championship matchup.
