UIndy’s Bode Named ABCA/Rawlings Midwest Region Player of the Year, 14 Other GLVC Players Recognized

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) along with Rawlings announced its 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II Regional Awards, as Indianapolis outfielder Austin Bode was awarded Midwest Region Player of the Year and 14 other Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) players earned spots on the All-Region teams. GLVC student-athletes made up 15 of the 34 individuals recognized.

Bode recorded his second Midwest Region Player of the Year honor to his trophy case after being named the Midwest Region Player of the Year for the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and now ABCA. Bode was also named GLVC Player of the Year for his performance this season. 
 
Illinois Springfield and Missouri-St. Louis both featured two First Team honorees, with the Prairie Stars outfielder Corey Boyette and designated hitter Kaden Griffitts, and Tritons first baseman Mitch Bonczkowski and Eli Cartwright earning the honors. Drury outfielder Connor Bain, Missouri S&T pitcher Dylan Bates, and Truman State second baseman Nick Steurer joined Bode on the First Team.

Illinois Springfield also added two honorees on the Second Team with outfielder Tommy Atkinson and relief pitcher Isaac Graf. Rockhurst garnered two spots as well with infielder Dakota Hanna and utility Michael Laudando being named. Drury third baseman Jackson Crider, and Indianapolis catcher Chase Mason rounded out the league honorees.
