Bracket Announced for 2026 GLVC Softball Championship Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced on Sunday the eight-team field for the 2026 GLVC Softball Championship Tournament, scheduled for May 6 - May 9 in East Peoria, Ill. This season marks the 22nd consecutive year the league postseason tournament will be held at the EastSide Centre.
 
Regular Season Champion Indianapolis earned the No. 1 overall seed, while Missouri S&T secured the second seed, McKendree was tabbed as the 3-seed, Missouri-St. Louis claimed the 4-seed, Rockhurst was tabbed fifth, Illinois Springfield enters the postseason as the 6-seed, Maryville will be seeded No. 7, and Drury rounds out the field as the eighth seed.
 
The top-eight teams based on Conference winning percentage received a berth in the double-elimination tournament.
 
Game 1: #4 Missouri-St. Louis vs. #5 Rockhurst | Wednesday, May 6, 12:00 PM CT
  • Missouri-St. Louis finished the season 26-24, 19-9 in conference
  • The Tritons are making their 23rd appearance and first since 2024 with five conference titles to their name.
  • Rockhurst finished the season 30-18, 17-10 in conference.
  • The Hawks are making their tenth appearance in the GLVC postseason.
  • UMSL defeated Rockhurst 3-2 and 10-2 in Kansas City on March 14.

 Game 2: #3 McKendree vs. #6 Illinois Springfield | Wednesday, May 6, 1:00 PM CT
  • McKendree went 40-12 overall and 21-7 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Bearcats are making their eighth appearance in the GLVC postseason and fourth in a row.
  • UIS went 32-18 overall and 16-12 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Prairie Stars are making their 11th appearance in the GLVC postseason.
  • McKendree defeated UIS 4-0 and 7-0 in Lebanon on April 19.

 Game 3: #1 Indianapolis vs. #8 Drury | Wednesday, May 6, 3:00 PM CT
  • Indianapolis went 53-3 overall and 27-1 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • UIndy is making its 36th appearance in the GLVC postseason and eighth in a row with four Conference titles to its name, winning in 2012, 2016, 2021, and 2025.
  • Drury went 25-27 overall and 14-13 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • Drury is making its ninth appearance in the GLVC postseason and seventh consecutive.
  • UIndy defeated Drury 5-4 and 3-1 in Springfield on March 29.
 
Game 4: #2 Missouri S&T vs. #7 Maryville | Wednesday, May 6, 4:00 PM CT
  • S&T went 35-15 overall and 22-6 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Miners are making their ninth appearance in the GLVC postseason with one conference title to their name in 2024.
  • Maryville went 25-23 overall and 15-13 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Saints are making their seventh appearance in the GLVC postseason.
  • S&T defeated Maryville 7-2 and 7-5 in St. Louis on March 22.
 
Each day of the four-day event, ticket prices will be $15 for adults, $5 for youth (ages 6-12th grade) and students (with ID), and children 5 and under are free. Tickets should be purchased prior to arrival at GLVCsports.com/tickets.
