CSC Academic All-America® Softball Teams Feature Three GLVC Student-Athletes

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their Softball Academic All-America® teams on June 16 with three Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes making the cut. 
 
Two Conference players landed on the First Team, as McKendree shortstop and GLVC Player of the Year Lauren Harris and Indianapolis outfielder Brooklyn Willis earned top spots. While majoring in exercise science and sports performance, Harris earned a 3.80 GPA and hit .478 with 21 homers and 71 RBIs in her final season with the Bearcats. Willis, a nursing major, tallied a 3.88 GPA and contributed 21 home runs and 69 RBIs on the field.

S&T shortstop Taylor Nelson secured a Third Team spot to round out the GLVC contingent, recording a 3.91 GPA in biomedical engineering and notching a .418 batting average with 20 home runs.
