GLVC Men's & Women's Tennis Championships Head to Indianapolis
The 2019 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's & Women's Tennis Championships will be hosted by the University of Indianapolis on April 19-21 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2019 event, which will be primarily held at Center Grove High School, is the 41st annual edition for the men and 39th for the women.
The top-four teams based on highest divisional winning percentage from each of the GLVC's two divisions earn a spot in the two eight-team tournaments. Both events are single elimination with the championship match conducted on Sunday.
The GLVC Tennis Championships will once again be streamed live and free on all GLVC Sports Network platforms, including GLVCSN.com, iOS/Android mobile apps, and Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV OTT apps. A complete schedule will be announced during championship week.
Indianapolis (10), Bellarmine (8), Southern Indiana (7), Drury (7), Rockhurst (2), as well as former league members Northern Kentucky (5) and SIU Edwardsville (2), have all claimed GLVC Men's Tennis Championshps.
On the women's side, Indianapolis (10), Drury (8), Southern Indiana (3), Lewis (2), Bellarmine (1) have all earned titles, as well as former league members Saint Joseph's (7), Northern Kentucky (6) and SIU Edwardsville (1).
Last year, Indianapolis earned its third-straight and league-record 10th men's title with a 5-1 victory over Drury at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, MO. On the women's side, Drury edged Missouri-St. Louis 5-2 for their eighth Conference crown.
