GLVC Softball Championship Returns to
East Peoria's EastSide Centre
The 2019 Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Championship will be held on May 2-4, 2019 at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Illinois. It will mark the 16th-straight year the GLVC Softball Championship will be held at the EastSide Centre. The 2019 event will also mark the 36th annual GLVC Softball Championship.
Eight teams will vie for the 2019 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the Conference at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament.
No. 6 seed Southern Indiana earned its fourth GLVC Championship last season but first since 1998, defeating defending champion and No. 4 seed Missouri-St. Louis, 4-2.
Lewis' 10 titles paces the Conference, followed by Missouri-St. Louis (4), Southern Indiana (4), and Indianapolis (2). Former GLVC members SIU Edwardsville (5), Kentucky Wesleyan (4), UW-Parkside (3), Northern Kentucky (2), and Ashland (1) have also claimed GLVC Softball Championships.
