Maryville Claims Fourth GLVC Men’s Soccer Championship

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Fifth-seeded Maryville won its fourth Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men's Soccer Championship trophy on Saturday, defeating third-seeded McKendree 2-1, at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex in St. Louis, Mo.

Maryville secured its first Conference title since the 2022 season when they defeated Lewis, 1-0 in the second overtime period. The Saints have won four of the last eight Men’s Soccer Championships and are the lowest seed to win the crown since No. 6 Indianapolis in 2014.

With the win, Maryville (12-6-2) earned the league's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament, its fifth-straight appearance in the postseason event. The Saints will find out their opponent on Monday night's NCAA Selection Show at 6:30 PM ET.
