KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Forty-three Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) swimming and diving student-athletes (24 men, 20 women) were named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Swimming & Diving Teams, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The honorees were announced on Tuesday.
On the women's side, Drury, Indianapolis and Truman State earned four spots on the team, followed by Missouri-St. Louis and William Jewell with three. Rockhurst rounded out the nominees with one.
For the men, Missouri S&T, Missouri-St. Louis, and Truman State led the way four nominees. Drury, Indianapolis, Rockhurst, and William Jewell each earned three spots.
The complete list of honorees can be found at the link above. All eligible nominees earn the honor with a minimum of a 3.50 undergraduate or graduate GPA required, while the maximum number of submissions permitted by a school in the sport is four.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women’s swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 22.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All- America® programs.
