UIndy’s Buessing Named CSC Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year, Three Other GLVC Men's Athletes Honored

AUSTIN, Texas – Four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division II Men's Swimming & Diving Academic All-America® Teams, it was announced Wednesday.

Indianapolis' Cedric Buessing (Business Administration & Management, 3.88) claimed a CSC Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year, as well as a first-team nod which he earned for the second-straight year.
Drury led GLVC representation with a pair of individuals making the list. Ivan Adamchuk (Finance major, 3.81 GPA) and Alejandro Villarejo (Computer Science, 3.91) earned first-team honors. Adamchuk was named to the first-team for the second year in a row, while Villarejo moved up from the third-team.

The final honoree from the GLVC was Missouri S&T’s Adam Wiedemeier (Psychology, 4.00) who earned third-team honors.

The CSC Academic All-America® separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, and two-year schools.
 
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure, to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 DII Academic All-America® teams program.
