INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis has earned its 13th consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) All-Sports Trophy, the league office announced on Wednesday. The Greyhounds totaled 196 points during the 2024-25 academic year, winning by 19.5 points over second-place Lewis University.
The trophy is UIndy’s 16th in program history, with wins in the 1978-79, 1994-95, and 2002-03 seasons, as well as the past 13, dating back to 2011-12. The GLVC did not award the All-Sports Trophy in 2019-20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic that suspended spring sports competition that year.
The GLVC All-Sports Trophy is presented to the institution that demonstrates the best all-around performance in the league’s 24 sponsored sports. Points are allocated based on overall finish in the respective sport’s Conference tournament and league standings.
UIndy captured four GLVC titles this season earning top points in football, women’s golf, softball, and men’s tennis. In addition, the UIndy women finished runner-up in women’s swimming and diving, men’s golf, women’s tennis, and women’s lacrosse.
Lewis secured second place by nine points over third-place Drury University, tallying 176.5 total points during the year. This marks the Flyers 14th consecutive top-five finish and fifth-straight runner-up honor. Lewis earned seven GLVC Championships this season, hoisting the trophy in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s soccer, volleyball, women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, and men's outdoor track and field.
Drury earned third-place distinction this season, adding its 15th-straight top-five finish in the standings. The Panthers picked up 167.5 points, highlighted by a league title in women’s swimming and diving, and men’s swimming and diving.
Maryville University was just 11.5 points behind Drury, finishing fourth in this season’s All-Sports Trophy standings. The Saints totaled 156 points this year, winning the women’s bowling, women’s lacrosse, and men’s lacrosse Conference titles. University of Missouri-St. Louis was close behind in fifth place, tallying 148.75 points on the heels of the women’s soccer GLVC Championship.
The All-Sports Trophy was first instituted in the GLVC during the 1978-79 season with seven different institutions having claimed the award.
