UIndy, McKendree Heading to Semifinals in GLVC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Two more Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) men's basketball teams advanced to the semifinal round of the 2026 GLVC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri, on the campus of Missouri-St. Louis at the Mark Twain Building. Fourth-seeded Indianapolis and sixth-seeded McKendree filled out the rest of the semifinal field Friday night and will take on No. 8 Drury and No. 2 William Jewell, respectively.
 
Fans who will be attending March 7-8 can purchase tickets online at GLVCsports.com/tickets, and those who can't attend can watch on all GLVCSN platforms for $15 per individual game or $40 for the full tournament.

  • UINDY claimed the win shooting 42.1% (24-of-57) from the field and 35.7% (10-of-28) from three.
    • Three Greyhounds scored in double figures: Shaun Arnold (22), Carmelo Harris (18), and Tyler Parrish (18).
    • Arnold led the team with 15 rebounds and two steals.
  • S&T’s Andrew Young notched a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
    • Cameron Stovall added 16 points and eight boards.
  • This is the Greyhounds’ fifth time advancing to the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament in the last six years.

  • MCK was lights out from the field, shooting 50.0% (27-of-54) from the field and 46.2% (12-of-26) from three-point range.
    • The Bearcats had 10 different players score, led by Cha’Vez Woods with 18.
    • Rini Harris (13), Andrew Moore (11), Noah Franklin (11), and Joshua Schoenback (11) contributed double-digit scoring efforts, along with Woods.
    • Harris added a game-high nine rebounds
  • UIS found answers from deep cashing eight three pointers in the first half.
    • Jordan Rice led the team in scoring with 20 points.
    • Isaiah Davis and Britton Dutton also scored in double figures with Davis adding 12 and Dutton 10.
  • The 17 combined threes in the first half were the most in a GLVC half since 2016.
  • MCK’s 28 point margin was the largest margin of victory in the GLVC Tournament since 2022.
  • This is the Bearcats’ second ever GLVC quarterfinal win with their previous coming in the 2023 Tournament, which the Bearcats won the Championship.
