ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The semifinals of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s Lacrosse Championship Tournament featured top-seeded Lewis and second-seeded Maryville claiming a spot in the title game after semifinal action at Lewis Stadium on Friday.
The Flyers and Saints will face off on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT for the GLVC title.

- LEWIS led 6-0 after the first period, seeing four different Flyers find the back of the net – Josh Schelfe, Liam Forsyth, Kohl Wesner, and Malikye Good.
- UINDY cut the deficit down to five (7-2) heading into the half.
- Both teams scored five times apiece in the second half.
- Kohl Wesner led the Flyers’ offensive attack with four goals.
- UINDY’s eight goals all came from different players.
- LEWIS’s Caden Donahue earned the win, saving 17 shots and allowing eight goals.

- The Hawks took a 2-1 first quarter lead thanks to goals from Lars Yarkosky and Nolan Hartl.
- MU used a Trent Zimay hattrick to put up a 6-2 second quarter to take a 7-4 halftime lead
- After RU started the second half in scoring, MU rattled off nine straight goals, with Griffin Johnson scoring a hattrick in the onslaught.
- RU answered back with three goals in the fourth quarter but could not mount enough of a comeback
- Overall, MU's Johnson would lead the game in points with five points (five goals), while Jonah McConnell lead RU in points with three (two goals and one assist)
- In front of the net, the league’s Goalkeeper of the Year – Brock Ollila – from RU had a game-high 11 saves.
