INDIANAPOLIS – The top-seeded Indianapolis women’s lacrosse team took down second-seeded Maryville on Sunday, defeating the Saints to earn its fifth Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Championship at UIndy’s Key Stadium.
UIndy has now claimed five out of six titles in the sport since sponsorship started in 2021.

- MU got off to a hot start, jumping out to a 4-1 lead behind a pair of goals from Helen Bae and Natalie Tomljenovic.
- The teams both tallied four goals apiece before Tomljenovic tallied her fourth goal of the first half to give MU a 9-5 advantage with 2:20 remaining in the second quarter.
- UINDY found the back of the net twice in the final two minutes to cut the deficit to two heading to the locker room.
- After UINDY tied the game at nine early in the third stanza, Devyn Dimovitz reclaimed the lead for the Saints at the 6:52 mark.
- UINDY caught fire and took control of the rest of the game, scoring eight unanswered goals to create a lead it wouldn’t relinquish.
- UINDY had four players tally at least three goals: GLVC Midfielder of the Year Malaena Michielin (4), Sage Da Silva (3), Reese Fahlke (3), and Megan Gehrt (3).
- Tomljenovic and Bae led the MU offensive attack with four goals apiece.
- Ava Graham stopped 10 shots between the pipes for UINDY.
The Greyhounds, the GLVC automatic qualifier, now await the tonight’s NCAA Selection Show at 8:30 p.m. ET to determine their regional fate. The 2026 NCAA Division II Championship will be played May 21-23 at Judson Stadium in Rochester, N.Y., following the preliminary rounds on May 7-9 and quarterfinals on May 16 at campus sites.
